Dreaming of Hanalei
Hanalei Bay has served as an export port for native Hawaiians for centuries. The bay has seen its locally grown taro, rice, and sugarcane shipped to Honolulu and around the world. The Hanalei Pier was completed in 1912 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Liz and I captured this long exposure image as the sun receded behind the cliffs of the Na Pali Coast.
