A Bowl A Day – Miranda Thomas
Miranda thomas
Miranda Thomas is a Vermont potter who has spent her entire ceramic career focused on creating pots focused on carving or painting imagery on them. She uses a traditional method of dipping the pots in slip, waiting for them to set up a bit, and then carving images from the English countryside or other historical symbols. She uses either African porcupine quill or bamboo for the carving process. Her ceramic pieces have been presented to US Presidents and other dignitaries as gifts.
