Robert Archambeau is a ceramic artist born in the United States but has spent most of his working life in Manitoba Canada.  Robert taught at Rhode Island School of Design and then for 23 years at University of Manitoba School of Art.  This potter is greatly influenced by Asian ceramics.  Archambeau rarely signs his pots following the Japanese mingei philosophy that utilitarian pottery made by unknown craftsmen is the noblest art form.
