Beauty: Opening our Eyes to the Beauty that Surrounds Us

I live in a gorgeous place. We have miles and miles of white sand dunes plus the fresh water ocean of Lake Michigan. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to walk the lakeshore in Saugatuck. An abandoned pier, beach glass and small skipping stones were found.

“You agree – I’m sure you agree that beauty is the only thing worth living for.” (Agatha Christie)

Of course, part of the day was meeting with artists. One of them being Jeff Blandford. I have been watching this artist for many years. He is hard working, focused, and found his path in clay at an early age. Over the next several months, we will be creating a space for his sculptural ceramics at C2C. I can see his vessels in groupings looking wonderful in West Michigan homes and businesses.
