Billy Ray Mangham is building a school in Texas, just outside of Austin. He loved teaching at MISSA in Victoria, British Columbia, and wanted to offer something like it in the States.
Billy felt the same way that I do about MISSA – It has an energy that isn’t felt at other schools. Excellent instructors – masters in their medium. Billy ‘s school is called Eye of the Dog Art Center. He is growing the school slowly. He has some great workshops lined up. Billy was a functional potter for more than 40 years. Currently, he is making figurative work that has a lot of humor in it.
