Last week, we opened the third Teapot and Cup Invitational at the Muskegon Museum of Art. The opening event was well received by visitors. We had a lot of fun talking about what makes each teapot and cup unique; discussed information about the artists; and whether they were functional.
This is the first Invitational that we have included teapots. From the comments on Thursday evening, everyone is enjoying looking and considering which one to purchase to add to their collections. I am hoping that this exhibit will cause museum visitors to become art collectors by purchasing their first handmade cup, mug, or teapot.
