I enjoyed four interesting articles and videos for reading and watching this past month.
I’m sharing these because they made me stop and think. I hope they do that for you as well.

🎥 Thinking about retirement — or simply how we spend our time:
This interesting video felt like a fitting piece for the start of a new year. How to Squeeze the Most Juice Out of Retirement explores the Four Phases of Retirement and offers a thoughtful framework for living with intention, no matter your stage of life.
Watch the TED Talk:
🧶 For the knitters (and metaphor lovers) among us:
Picking Up Missed Stitches
The storytelling in the New York Times video Knitting Helps Us Embrace Life’s Messy Imperfections is both tender and wise. I can’t help but think they’ve found the perfect metaphor for unraveling — and for learning how to repair what we didn’t even realize we dropped along the way.

📖 An essay worth lingering with:
I recently read a thoughtful and interesting article in the Seven Days Newspaper about a Brit who moved to Vermont in the 1970s and has decided to return to Great Britain. It’s a reflection on place, time, and what we carry with us — and what we leave behind.

🏛️ A winter invitation:
Visit a museum.
If you don’t have plans this afternoon, consider spending some time in a local gallery or museum. Beyond the beauty and learning, a recent CBS Evening News report suggests that viewing art may help us become more attentive.
Be intentional about what you’re looking at. Notice how you respond — and why.
