Denver Potters Guild
We are losing too many friends in the Arts World. Last week, Willow Connery, a potter that I met at Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts about 11 years ago.  Willow Connery was in the glaze course organized by Robin Hopper.  He and his wife, Judi Dyelle, founded this adult summer school.
As soon as you met Willow, you knew that you needed to learn more about this woman.  She wasn’t pushy and didn’t draw attention to herself.  You just knew that this potter was someone that you should get talking and then “listen”.  After reading Willow’s obituary, I wish I had more time with her in the years after our glaze course.  We met up a couple of times at NCECA.  Willow made me feel welcome with her fellow Denver Potter’s Guild members.  I know that they all feel a huge sense of loss.
