Polly has always viewed herself as a creative person in one way or another. Perhaps that is why at the age of 17, she kept returning to the studio–taking every pottery class she could in college, spending most of her free time in the studio. Later in life, Polly sought out community clay studios and art centers. Vermont Clay Studio was this artist’s home base for several years until she was able to build a studio.
For the most part, Polly’s ceramic education has been self-directed: taking classes, and workshops whenever they fit into her busy family schedule. Mainly pottery was a hobby, a way to feed her soul while working and raising three beautiful children in rural Vermont. The more she worked with clay, the more she realized she was happiest at the potter’s wheel. Polly hopes that you will use her functional pots daily enriching your life.
