Description
Add a little more love to your food by baking in a Handmade Low Oval Dish by Julie Devers. She loves to add simple details to her work with a line and a dot. This baker was fired in an atmospheric gas kiln. It is also oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. We recommend letting your handmade baker rise to temp with the oven to prevent cracks. Julie Devers is a Michigan potter and teacher. Julie works in porcelain and stoneware. Her pottery is functional and versatile.
Julie Devers is a graduate of Notre Dame and a Master of Fine Arts degree from University of Montana, Julie has spent a lifetime refining her pottery skills and making functional pottery. In addition to creating her own artwork, Julie teaches at the Kalamazoo Institute of Art.
Her artwork looks great in most home decor. Look closely and you will notice a singular dot or a simple line. This is Julie’s quiet way of decorating her bowls, mugs, trays, and platters.
Julie says, “Using handmade objects cause the senses to awaken. Transform your everyday rituals into special comforting moments.”
Julie also fires in an Anagama Wood Kiln twice a year. View her wood fired pieces here.
