Sun Over Lake Michigan | Shoreline Form | Ceramic Vase

This handmade porcelain vase is shaped by quiet moments along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Lake Michigan beige and black sand gathered along the beach are layered into the surface and glaze. During firing, they settle and shift, creating textures that echo the patterns left behind as the water moves across the sand.

A small piece of found beach glass is embedded into the surface and melts into the glaze, becoming part of the finished piece.

One side carries a warm sun rising above soft blue horizon lines. The opposite surfaces hold quieter shoreline textures — sand, movement, and light.

The form is simple and slightly architectural, allowing the surface to carry the story of the shoreline.

At home on a table, shelf, or windowsill, this vessel brings a small moment of Lake Michigan indoors.
