Why are we Closing our Brick and Mortar?…
The Future of C2C is Online. Thank you to all of you who have been sending emails and/or stopping into the gallery. Many friends are surprised, even shocked. We had a good 2019. We helped you find the perfect piece of artwork for your home or as gifts. We love doing this! It’s the best part of our jobs. I think I have the best job though, I get to meet artists, consider their artwork, and select which items will be on display at C2C Gallery.
Why are we closing 104 Washington? Truthfully, I am tired juggling so many balls every day. BUT, even saying this, I can’t help myself. I love to be busy, doing good things for you and our community. My accountant asked me a question and then a statement. He asked, “Are you having fun?” Then, he said, “Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean that you should.”
Those two sentences, did it. I made a decision that I had been wrestling with for more than 6 months. It surprised my kids. Then, I gave them the back story and they understood. I want to focus on my ceramic artwork. Representing our artists in an excellent manner takes focus, thought, and time.
I didn’t lose my lease. I own 104 Washington. And in one week, I am selling it to another local couple who love Grand Haven.
The Future….
C2C Gallery will still be available to you. I hope we will remain your “go to” for unique, special gifts. If you live in West Michigan, call us, and come visit. You can see my studio, touch the art, and kibbitz with Sarah/me. We have a couple of ideas that we are working on that will keep us out in the public eye. I promise it’s all good. We will miss you. It’s one of the things that we love about retail – the community.
Please plan to visit on Saturday, March 14 beginning at noon. Take good care, C2.
