Its ArtPrize/ArtWalk Season but…..
I was reviewing my previous blogs and realized that I didn’t finish a line of thought. A trip North and a found treasure in Northern Michigan. The Michigan Legacy Art Park. Its located on Crystal Mountain’s property. What a fantastic hike through a beautiful hilly forest! The park’s mission is to inspire awareness, appreciation, and passion for Michigan’s history, culture and environment through the arts. It is approximately a two mile hike. Founded by David Barr, who was awarded the Governor’s Michigan Artist Award in 1988. The Sculptures seen are for sale. Artists who are interested in submitting a proposal can do so at any time and the collection committee meets quarterly.
The images are of sculptures that I enjoyed the most while wandering through the lovely wooded area. The park is about two and a half hours from Grand Haven. It is so lovely out today after our storm. It might be something to do if you are tired of the ArtPrize crowds. Enjoy your day.
