State of the Union (Gallery)

State of the Union (Gallery)

If you are in West Michigan today, you know that we are snowed in and it is very cold outside.  We have Human Dog Sled Races tonight for Winterfest.

It is time for our “State of the Union” letter.

First of all, we want to thank each and every one of you who is reading this post.  You are one of the reasons for the continued success of the gallery we call C2C.  It is because of your support, we are able to make a difference in many artists’ lives.

That support has a great upside to it.  Businesses and homes have great new art to soothe, inspire, and enjoy.  Our motto of “Art for Your Every Day Life” has struck a chord with many in our community and those who enjoy visiting the beautiful Grand Haven area.

It is a time for reflection……someone famous must have said that once upon a time.  So this is a kind of a State of the Gallery look at 2013 and a look forward at 2014.

This was the first year in our new location.  It was a great move for C2C.  We were hoping for an increase in all facets of the business.  At 104 Washington, our traffic and sales increased over the Piano Factory location by about 50%.

This new location has allowed us to add new artists, and to display more of their artwork in a much better environment.

We have had exciting developments from our current artists and we were able to bring on some new work that we think you will enjoy. Check in to see new directions from several artists, especially by Michael Kifer (clay) and

We continue to engage in community efforts such as ArtWalk, fund raising for causes including the Coal Tipple and others.

The monthly First Friday Gallery Walk events, hosting local musicians and focused exhibits continues to introduce new friends and entertain our regulars.  They will continue in 2014.

A new development that will be of interest to our out of town customers is that C2C’s website has been revamped to offer easy online purchases.  We are happy to ship anywhere in the world!

So what is coming up in 2014?  Please watch our Facebook page, our blog, and your emails for current news and schedules.
